For the purposes of the fund everyone is a child until the age of 18. This may seem harsh but over our two years of suffering we say many children suffering with cancer in many different forms, it is at a time like this that you will appreciate that at 18, your child is still a child.
The aim of “The Shona Smile Foundation” is two fold, firstly we aim to help children up to the age of 18 who are primarily suffering with one of the forms of Rhabdomyosarcoma (these can be found on What is Rhabdomyosarcoma page).
We aim to do this in a variety of ways, by helping out with a cash donation, which may help in everyday things or go towards something that the child wants or needs, or by helping the child to fulfil a dream, of his or her choosing.
Secondly, we hope that as the charity gains momentum we will be able to help fund research into Rhabdomyosarcoma.
